Myrrh is a gum-resin extracted from several small, thorny tree species of the genus Comephora. Myrrh resin has been used throughout history as a perfume, incense and medicine which smells like a woody aromatic tree resin. It has a medicinal smell that is typically sweet, smoky, and astringent. Myrrh has a spicy quality to its smell, unlike other resins which means it has a cooling scent even when smelt in high heat. Myrrh is often associated with spiritual healing, protection, and purification. With a Vibrational Frequency of 105 MHz, it has been widely used in many religious and spiritual traditions for prayer, meditation, and rituals, often in the form of incense, resin, or essential oils.  In ancient Egypt, Myrrh was used to embalm the dead along with linen and natron.
